The Crimson Tide will bring two familiar names to Hoover to talk about the defending national champions. Junior wide receiver John Metchie III will represent the Alabama offensive side of the football while senior defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis will represent the defense.
With John Metchie out this spring, other guys are getting an opportunity to get extra reps this spring and Javon Baker and Xavier Williams are taking full advantage.
Early enrollees Ja’Corey Brooks and Agiye Hall are two intriguing players because of the size they possess on the outside. Both are lengthy wideouts standing at around 6-foot-3.
Through six games this season Metchie has hauled in 24 receptions for 517 yards and three touchdowns. Against Tennessee after Waddle went down with his injury Metchie had 7 receptions for 151 yards. He will assume No. 2 receiving duties for the Crimson Tide and is ready to make a name for himself and his country.
