Alabama super senior and Tuscaloosa-native Brian Robinson has taken the lead in the Crimson Tide backfield through two games in 2021. Robinson has taken 22 carries for 130 yards and one touchdown as the No. 1 back in a four player stable.
Alabama redshirt senior Brian Robinson Jr. has been recognized as a member of the 2021 Doak Walker Award Watch List. The Doak Walker Award is given to acknowledge the nation's top running back. The award has been in existence since 1989 and is named in honor of the 1948 Heisman Trophy winner Doak Walker.
In 2019, Robinson carried the ball 39 times for 259 yards and scored two touchdowns. His breakout game came against Western Carolina when he rushed for 92 yards on only eight carries.
