Montana Fouts and Bailey Hemphill can add another accomplishment to their softball careers: WCWS All-Tournament Team.

The four sports were bolstered by powerful pairs of record-breaking teammates, each sport boasted the SEC Player of the Year and a teammate that helped take the Tide to the top of the conference.

Any semifinal game comes with a lot of pressure, and the team that can perform under it is the team that will prevail.

Bailey Hemphill, SEC Player of the Year and Montana Fouts, SEC Co-Pitcher of the Year, put on performances that helped their team move on to the semifinals.

Team USA Softball narrowed down its player of the year award list down to 25 finalists this Friday. The Alabama Crimson Tide is one of five schools with multiple finalists on the list as junior Montana Fouts and graduate senior Bailey Hemphill represent coach Patrick Murphy's team. Both Alabama teammates were also finalists in 2019.

No. 3 Alabama Softball (30-4, 10-3) brought down the No. 8 Arkansas Razorbacks (32-4, 12-1) 5-3 Friday night to take game one of the weekend series.

After getting out to a blazing 19-1 start before conference play officially began, Alabama softball has began to stumble a bit headed into the most important part of the season.

Bailey Hemphill was named as a co-SEC player of the week, and Lexi Kilfoyl was named SEC newcomer of the week after the Tide's sweep over Auburn!

The Alabama Crimson Tide is having an impressive 2020-21 year athletically across many of its athletic programs. Alabama is currently nationally ranked in 11 sports and has impressive athletes competing in all the athletic programs.
