A Tuscaloosa County woman was charged with two counts of Chemical Endangerment of a Child on Tuesday.

According to court documents filed Wednesday morning, the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to a call at a methadone clinic on Mimosa Park Road on June 26th, and officers found 22-year-old Beth Marie Thomas-Graves was falling in and out of consciousness.

The woman was hospitalized at DCH Northport, where subpoenaed medical records reportedly showed she had benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, methadone and THC in her system -- THC is the psychoactive substance commonly found in marijuana.

According to the arrest document, Thomas-Graves was 33 weeks pregnant at the time and knowingly exposed her unborn child to those narcotics.

She was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where she remained on Wednesday afternoon awaiting payment of a combined $30,000 bond for the two class-C felony charges.
