A woman from Reform died Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Pickens County, State Troopers have confirmed.

Sergeant Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said the victim was 78-year-old Edith Gault, who was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado on Ollie Bonner Road in Pickens County.

King said Gault's truck left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened around 12:45 p.m. Monday approximately five miles north of Reform, in Pickens County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
