Following their crushing loss at the hands of "the state up north," Ohio State fell from two to five.

Alabama was ranked in the sixth position after their convincing win over the Auburn Tigers in the Iron Bowl. It came into the game at number seven, but with LSU putting on an embarrassing showing in their loss to Texas A&M, Alabama bumped up.

The Tide will need some help to make it into the College Football Playoff. There's a very realistic shot that Utah can beat USC again in the PAC-12 championship, and Kansas State is not to be slept on in their tilt with TCU for the Big 12 championship. It is likely that both would need to lose for Alabama to get in.
