Reserve Alabama Lineman Enters Transfer Portal
Tuscaloosa, AL - The Crimson Tide just saw its second player of the day enter the transfer portal following the announcement that Alabama would miss the College Football Playoff.
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Alabama reserve offensive tackle Miles McVay is entering the transfer portal.
McVay, a four-star recruit from East St. Louis, Illinois, originally chose the Crimson Tide over Michigan State, Texas A&M, and Missouri.
McVay was rated as a four-star recruit in the 2023 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-6, 342-pound offensive lineman just wrapped up his redshirt freshman season at Alabama, seeing time on special teams in all 12 of Alabama's games in the 2024 college football season.
McVay is the fifth Alabama player to enter the transfer portal, and the second on Sunday. He was listed as the second-string left tackle, behind true sophomore Kadyn Proctor on Alabama's two-deep roster.
More transfer announcements are expected out of Tuscaloosa.
