Alabama Wide Receiver Isaiah Horton Enters Transfer Portal

Alabama has now lost five wide receivers to the transfer portal, with former four-star receiver Isaiah Horton telling Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports that he will enter the transfer portal after spending one season with the Crimson Tide.

Horton will enter the transfer portal as the fifth wide receiver to do so from Alabama, and is the sixth receiver to depart Tuscaloosa after the 2025-26 season. Senior receiver Germie Bernard is out of eligibility after spending two seasons at Alabama and three overall under head coach Kalen DeBoer. Horton, a 6-foot-4, 208-pound receiver from Oakland High School in Nashville, Tennessee, committed to play for the Miami Hurricanes as a four-star prospect in high school. During his three seasons at Miami, Horton totaled 70 receptions for 790 yards and six touchdowns. After his third year in Miami, Horton entered the transfer portal and joined the Crimson Tide.

In his lone season with Alabama, the big-play threat became the Tide's third-leading receiver and a consistent weapon for quarterback Ty Simpson, hauling in 42 receptions for 511 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns. He had five games where he recorded over 50 yards receiving for Alabama, making major contributions in Alabama's wins over Georgia and Vanderbilt in the regular season, keeping Alabama in the game during the Tide's regular season loss to Oklahoma, and helping the Crimson Tide get revenge on the Sooners in the first round of the College Football Playoffs.

Alabama's wide receiver room for 2026 is thin, with just five receivers currently on the roster:
