The game just got even bigger, with the news that former United States President Donald Trump will be in attendance for the Clash of Titans between the Crimson Tide and the Bulldogs.

It's the second game that President Trump will have attended in Bryant-Denny Stadium, with Trump making an appearance in Tuscaloosa for Alabama's matchup with the eventual national champions, the LSU Tigers, in November 2019.

Alabama is 0-1 in games that President Trump has attended in Bryant-Denny Stadium, but they are 1-1 in games President Trump has attended.

President Trump attended the 2018 National Championship between Alabama and Georgia, where backup quarterback Tua Tagovailoa replaced starter Jalen Hurts at halftime of the national championship game to lead Alabama to a 26-23 win in overtime to clinch the school's 17th national championship in football.

The game between Alabama and Georgia was already generating immense buzz in Tuscaloosa, and now, it just got even more important.

The previous matchup between Alabama and Georgia came in the 2023 SEC Championship, where Jalen Milroe led Alabama to a 27-24 victory. It meant just a little more in hindsight, with that being the final win of Nick Saban's career at Alabama.

UPDATE

The Trump Campaign and election officials, including Alabama Senator Katie Britt, have confirmed Trump's plans to attend the matchup between the Crimson Tide and the Bulldogs on September 28.

It was previously unclear if the second assassination attempt on President Trump on Sunday was going to de-rail those plans.
