Former Alabama running back Trey Sanders has announced his new home.

The Fla., native is transferring to Texas Christian University, joining a national championship contending program.

He spent three seasons at the Capstone and saw time in 26 games with 116 rushing attempts for 528 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught nine receptions for 66 yards.

Sanders is one of numerous Alabama player to enter the transfer portal this year, joining walk-ons Gabe Pugh and Jacoby Boykins, as well as Javion CohenChristian Leary, Aaron AndersonAmari KightJoJo EarleTommy BrockermeyerKhyree JacksonTraeshon Holden, Jack MartinTanner Bowles, Damieon George, and Braylen Ingraham.

The former five-star recruit is the third Tide transfer to join the Horned Frogs along with Brockermeyer and Earle.

Other Alabama players to announce their new homes are Anderson to LSU, Leary and Kight to UCF, Martin to Houston, Holden and Jackson to Orgon, Bowles to Kentucky, Ingraham to Syracuse, and Cohen to Miami.

TCU plays Georgia in the 2022 National Championship on Monday, January 9, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will be aired on ESPN.
