Five-Star In-State WR Commits to Alabama, Third WR Commit in Three Days

In the span of 36 hours, the Alabama Crimson Tide has now added three wide receivers to its 2026 recruiting class.

On Monday night, three-star Tennessee-native Owen Cabell committed to Alabama, and on Tuesday night, three-star Brian Williams Jr. committed to the Crimson Tide.

On Wednesday, the "big fish" officially made his announcement, with five-star Benjamin Russell wide receiver Cederian Morgan announcing his commitment to the Crimson Tide on a live-stream with 247 Sports.

Morgan, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound wide receiver from Alexander City, Alabama, chose the Crimson Tide over the Auburn Tigers, Clemson Tigers, Colorado Buffaloes, Florida Gators, and the Georgia Bulldogs.

He's ranked as the No. 15 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, the No. 2 wide receiver in the class, and the No. 1 player in the state of Alabama. Wide receiver coach JaMarcus Shephard led the Crimson Tide in Morgan's recruitment.

Being in Alexander City, Morgan sat just 99 miles from Tuscaloosa and 36 miles from Auburn, so it's no surprise that he took seven recorded visits to Alabama and six to Auburn. He also took official visits to Colorado, Georgia, and Florida before ending his summer recruiting cycle in Auburn on June 13 and Tuscaloosa on June 20.

As a junior last season for Benjamin Russell, Morgan caught 70 passes for 1,162 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging 16.6 yards per catch. He led the Wildcats to the first round of the AHSAA 6A Playoffs. During his sophomore campaign in 2023, Morgan caught 36 passes for 622 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 19.4 yards per catch.

Cederian Morgan is the 17th commitment for the Crimson Tide in the 2026 recruiting class and the fourth five-star prospect committed to Alabama, according to On3's recruit rankings. Morgan's commitment now gives Alabama the No. 6 overall recruiting class in the 2026 cycle.
