Barstool Sports’ Owner Bets Big on Alabama To Win the CFP
Things are heating up when it comes to the College Football Playoffs, and the bets are starting to come in. In a season where tons of teams are making a strong case to be the number one contender, Barstool Sports' owner Dave Portnoy seems to have his sights set on one team. He recently bet 100k to win $1.1M on Alabama winning the College Football Playoff.
Portnoy is famous for placing massive bets on sporting events, the past weekend, he put a huge bet on YouTube star turned Professional boxer Jake Paul to beat Mike Tyson in the boxing ring, in what he called “the best bet” of his life.
This very well might be the best time to place a bet on the Crimson Tide, as they have won three straight games, including a 34-0 shutout performance against the Missouri Tigers, as well as a Breath Taking 42-13 statement victory in Baton Rouge against the LSU Tigers, in a game where many believed that its playoff future was on the line.
Alabama currently has two games remaining on its schedule. First, they will head to Norman, Oklahoma, to face the Oklahoma Sooners, and shortly after, they will host the Auburn Tigers at Bryant-Denny Stadium for the Iron Bowl.
