Alabama Veteran DL Announces Return in 2025
Alabama's defense continues to get good news, with veteran defensive lineman Jah-Merien Latham announcing his return to Alabama in 2025.
Latham will be playing his sixth year of college football at the University of Alabama and will be the only member of the 2025 Alabama football roster to be a part of Alabama's 2020 national championship team.
Latham started 11 games with 13 appearances for Alabama in 2024, and he was heavily in the rotation in Alabama's "Bandit" edge rusher room. The 6-foot-3, 278-pound defensive lineman played his high school football at Pickens County High School.
In 2024, Latham totaled 27 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, three quarterback hurries, and one fumble recovery during the season. His top game came against South Carolina with seven tackles and one sack.
