Alabama Athletics published its self-reported NCAA violations on Thursday for the 2024-25 athletic calendar. The Tide violated NCAA rules six times, although none included football or men's basketball.

Tennis, rowing, baseball, women's gymnastics, and women's soccer were hit with level-three NCAA violations. Level three is the lowest level of NCAA violations. Alabama baseball self-reported two violations.

 

Here are the six violations across five sports for Alabama.

 

Men's Tennis

A tennis coach purchased a koozie for a recruit during a recruit's official visit on campus.

Result: Rules education was provided to the staff, a letter of admonishment will be issued to the coach, Alabama has declared the PSA ineligible until he repays the value to a charity, and the institution will limit the PSA to one off-campus contact per academic year.

 

Baseball

A recruit charged high-speed internet to his room during his official visit to Alabama.

A press release notifying the media about players drafted into the MLB included the name of a recruit who had not yet signed with Alabama.

Result: Rules education was provided to the baseball staff, and Alabama declared the PSA who charged internet to the room ineligible until he repays the value to a charity.

 

Women's Gymnastics

A recruit informed the Alabama staff during a camp that she was committing to Alabama.

Result: Rules education was provided to the staff, and Alabama must count the contact as one of its permitted contact opportunities with the recruit.

 

Women's Soccer

The women's soccer team only provided one required off day during an "out-of-season" segment.

Result: Rules education was provided to the staff, and Alabama will apply a 2-1 penalty for all impacted student-athletes, giving the team two additional off days added to the required 14 for the 2025-26 academic year.

 

Women's Rowing

A portion of the roster was only given 13 additional off days for the 2024-25 academic calendar.

Result: Rules education was provided to the staff, and Alabama will apply a 2-1 penalty for all impacted student-athletes, giving the team two additional off days added to the required 14 for the 2025-26 academic year.
