Alabama kicker Will Reichard has announced that he will return to the Alabama Crimson Tide for the 2023 season.

"After much prayer and guidance, I realized that I wasn't ready to step away from Alabama football and the college experience," wrote Reichard. "I have decided to take advantage of my final year of eligibility and tee it up with my Crimson Tide teammates one more time in 2023."

The senior went 22-of-26 in field goal attempts, had 94 kickoffs for 5,948 yards, and went a perfect 64-of-64 in extra point attempts this season.

According to RollTide.com, Reichard is " the program's all-time leader for career points with 417 on 61 field goals and 234 made PATs... also the UA record holder for career PATs... ranks fourth on the Alabama list for career field goals with 61... picked up Honorable Mention All-America accolades from Pro Football Focus..  earned second team All-SEC honors from both the Associated Press and the league coaches... second in the SEC and fourth nationally in total points scored this season with 121.. good on 21 field goals across 25 tries and has made 58 PATs in as many attempts."

The Hoover, Ala., is an All-American (2020), made Second-Team All-SEC (2022), and was a finalist for the Lou Groza Award in 2020.

Reichard originally accepted his invitation to the 2023 Senior Bowl but is now turning that offer down to come back to the Capstone.

"I can't wait to get back to work as we build towards the 2023 season," wrote Reichard.
