Aaliyah Nye Selected as the No. 13 Pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft
NEW YORK CITY - Alabama's all-time leader in 3-pointers has found her next home. Aaliyah Nye, one of the most prolific shooters in Crimson Tide history, was selected with the first pick of the second round at No. 13 overall by the Las Vegas Aces in the 2025 WNBA Draft on Monday night.

Known for her smooth shooting stroke and ability to stretch the floor, Nye adds instant offensive firepower to the 2022 and 2023 champion Aces. Her elite perimeter shooting and 6-foot frame make her a versatile threat in a league that values spacing and scoring efficiency.
Nye becomes the second former Alabama player taken in this year's draft, joining teammate Sarah Ashlee Barker, who was selected No. 9 overall by the Los Angeles Sparks. With her selection, Nye also etches her name into Crimson Tide lore as the 14th Alabama player ever drafted into the WNBA. She now joins a storied list that includes Linda Burgess, Cassandra Crumpton Moorer, Dominique Canty, Shalonda Enis, Niesa Johnson, Tausha Mills, LaNisha Cartwell, Shondra Johnson, Monique Bivins, Navonda Moore, Jasmine Walker, and Brittany Davis, who was picked by the Las Vegas Aces in 2023.
As Nye heads to Las Vegas, she brings a legacy of excellence and record-breaking success with her.
