I Could Not Believe What I Saw On My Way Back To Tuscaloosa

I have said many times that I am a fan of the strange, weird and unusual.

Maybe we all are that way.

However, this was highly unusual.

I had NEVER seen anything like this in my life.

I must say, I was very excited to get the job offer that brought me back to Tuscaloosa.

I had lived in Tuscaloosa and Northport in the late '80's and '90's, and I really wanted to come home.

Officially, I moved back in September of this year.

However, a year earlier I took my girlfriend on a trip to Tuscaloosa.

We had been spending a few days in Orange Beach.

This is when it started to get weird.

We were about to stop in Elberta, when my lady let out a "WHAT THE H**L"!

You know the kind of audible gasp and yell that causes you to slam on the breaks and nearly have an accident.

Why do you women do that? I mean, come on, I try to stay alert when driving and when you yell like that.....never mind.

Back to what she saw, and pointed ahead for me to see.

What the...I thought. What is it? What is it doing? Wait, it's a woman.

WHY IS SHE NAKED?

OK, this is what we saw.

Taking a bath in the lake, I guess.

I never stopped and asked questions, however, I have found out it's called "Lady In The Lake".

Just a few days after this, Hurricane Sally rolled through and really tore up the Lady. I know, right?

GOOD NEWS

The Lady In The Lake is being "repaired"!

This, according to the man that answered at the Barber Marina when I phoned.

I just love GOOD roadside attractions.
