HB 445 Causes Alabama Business To Speak Out

"STOCK UP NOW while it’s still legal."

That's the message an Alabama company posted on social media this week after recent news broke about hemp products in Alabama.

House Bill 445 recently passed in Alabama and for many companies and people who are for hemp products are going to be affected.

According to House Bill 445, establishments that sell consumable hemp products to liquor stores and other locations that minors aren't allowed will now be restricted to do so. The bill would also repeal the law allowing psychoactive cannabinoid sales to adults.

Popular hemp manufacturer Green Acres Organic Pharms says that HB 445 "shuts down small businesses, limits your choices, and protects only the largest corporate retailers."

In a post to social media the manufacturer also says that due to this bill passing they will likely be forced to leave Alabama. You can see their full post below.

BREAKING NEWS: HB 445 HAS PASSED – NEARLY ALL HEMP PRODUCTS WILL BE ILLEGAL IN ALABAMA BY JULY 2025

The Alabama Legislature has officially passed HB 445. As of July 1, 2025, nearly all hemp-derived THC products will be banned from retail sale in Alabama unless sold in tightly restricted, state-licensed locations.
That includes:
• Delta-8, Delta-9, and THCA
• Gummies, vapes, tinctures, flower, softgels, and more
Only hemp beverages will remain legal in large grocery stores with special licenses.
This new law eliminates 99% of the products you currently rely on for relief, recovery, and wellness. It shuts down small businesses, limits your choices, and protects only the largest corporate retailers.
