I love when I find something that takes me back in time. This morning, I stopped at a C-Store on my way to work and saw three buckets of green plums for sale. It'd been years. I bought a half pound.

I was instantly taken back in time. I remember stopping on Gin Road, one of the longest dirt roads in the world, (or so it seemed when I was a kid) to pick green plums growing wild. I like them with a little salt but would eat them with without it in a min.

We'd fold up the front of our t-shirts and use them as baskets. We'd load up on plums. We could find them growing wild on the old river road, on the edge of our pasture and in some cases we'd jump a fence for them. We also loved eating peaches, green apples and pears. We could stay outside all day and never get hungry!

Obviously, I can get them at the C-Store and I was told P&P Produce has them too. I'd like to find them on a tree somewhere.

Where in Tuscaloosa can I find these plums growing wild? I don't want to trespass or anything but would like to find some. Can you help?
