Showers and thunderstorms are likely this morning with a 40% chance this evening.  The high today should be around 92 with a low about 74.  Be weather aware because wind gusts could get as high as 25 mph today.

 Hazardous Weather Outlook was issued by the National Weather Service for some of our listening areas.  There is a risk of severe weather for Central Alabama this afternoon and tonight.  Primary threat will be large hail and damaging winds.  The timeline for this should be after 1 p.m.  This outlook includes Marion-Lamar-Fayette-Winston-Walker-Blount-Etowah-Calhoun-Cherokee-Cleburne-Pickens-Tuscaloosa-Jefferson-Shelby-St. Clair-Talladega-Clay-Randolph-Sumter-Greene-Hale-Perry-Bibb-Chilton-Coosa-Tallapoosa-Chambers-Marengo-Dallas-Autauga-Lowndes-Elmore-Montgomery-Macon-Bullock-Lee-Russell-Pike-Barbour.

Heads up for Saturday and Sunday afternoon as the heat index for our area will be on the rise and could reach between 100 to 105 degrees.  I will have more information about the heat indexes tomorrow.
