She might have struggled on 'Dancing With the Stars' this week, but Wynonna Judd has plenty to celebrate. Her husband and drummer, Cactus Moser, took his first steps on his own after losing his leg in a motorcycle accident last August.

The horrifying accident took place just months after the couple married in June of 2012. They were riding their motorcycles together before a concert in Deadwood, S.D. Judd was riding ahead of her husband when he crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car.

"After eight months of waiting, he walked towards me for the first time two days ago," Judd tells People magazine. "It's been an emotional ride for me this week."

She says her husband's upbeat attitude has helped him walk eight months ahead of schedule. "He's so positive," Judd states. "I call him Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky. It's really irritating, because sometimes I just want to complain or act tired about dancing, and he'll say, 'But you're moving and you're looking so great.'"

Judd tells the Boot that Moser's attitude has helped her overcome her own adversity when the 'Dancing With the Stars' judges offer harsh criticism of her moves. "We take so much for granted," she muses. "He couldn't use his hand and didn't have a leg. That's what life is right there. You think about those 30 seconds the judges get to talk to us about how displeased they are with our dance or whatever, but when you look at it in the grand scheme of things, it's just 30 seconds. It doesn't compare to the rest of our lives and the moments we share with one another."

After landing in last place on Monday night, Judd will find out if the voting public has saved her from elimination on the results show Tuesday night (April 2).
