Frank Hoogerbeets, a Dutch researcher, has released a 28 minute video to YouTube claiming a monster 9.8 magnitude earthquake will strike California today at 4:00 pm (PST).

Hoogerbeets claims on the video that, 'California is going to go into the sea, and if that's going to happen, Japan is also going to be battered by tsunamis that you just can't imagine.' He insists this is due to a five-planetary alignment will converge around the earth and interfere with the gravitational pull of the moon.

The video has raked in over 700,000 views and some Geologists took to social media yesterday to quell the buzz, asserting the science used to craft the doomsday prophecy was flawed and 'literally impossible'. The Daily Mail wrote that one expert insisted the 'maximum combined gravity of all the planets under the ideal conditions is still far less than the gravitational influence of the moon on the Earth'. Sure. Whatever that means.

Nonetheless, Hoogerbeets urged his followers to develop an escape plan.
