Wild Bill presents Wild Hill-Crest Week on 953 The Bear!

Listen everyday this week as Wild Bill features Hillcrest Football at 3:30 & 5:30pm on 953 The Bear.  "Wild Hillcrest Week" features Coach Sam Adams and his #1 ranked Hillcrest Patriots.

Monday Show:  "A Senior Moment"  We learned from QB "Cool Hand Cole" Fredrick that the Seniors met at Coach Adams House the week before the season and simply "decided to be a  good team."

WB Thought:  I was so amazed at the calm tone of a young man that didn't throw an interception until week 10.  Cole Fredrick is a cool cat that makes GOOD decisions on  the field is a very timely manner.  Thats why i call him "Cool Hand Cole!"  :)

Tuesday Show: "Coach Sam Adams"  Coach Sam Adams talks about how being #1 really means nothing, the NOW is all that matters!

WB Thought:  Coach Adams has developed a balanced team both on and off the field.  The moment has not changed his or his teams focus.  What lessons we all can learn about taking one game at a time, or living one day at a time.

Wednesday Show:  The Hillcrest journey...first time #1 in school history and more about how this team has played together since 8th graders.  We Bent Jones and Brad Armstrong, the play-by-play guys heard every Friday night on 953 The Bear.  This week, due to Alabama Mens Basketball you'll hear the game on Tide 102.9!

Someone asked me yesterday, "Whats it's like to be a member of Adam's Army, Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa's Crazy Fan section?" I replied, "Each Friday afternoon around 3pm I remove my shirt and shave my chest. I then take black paint and paint my upper torso leaving a bare spot for the number which I choose to be that night. #5 for QB Cole Fredrick for his GOOD DECISIONS and GREAT COMMAND of the Offense.

#44 Clay Harris with his QUICK FEET and ability to transition to DT or DE with ease.

I'm thinking Ken Marshall next because of his work ethic, and I'm saving #4 Brian Robinson, the future ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE STAR for Homecoming I think. I have a Red, White and Blue Megaphone that can create a louder volume than John Merrill ever has on the PA system. 

I listen to Brent Jones and Brad Armstrong on 95.3 The Bear calling all the action. On big HILLCREST SCORING PLAYS, it kinda sounds like Brent is about to jump out of the press box and I really like that. I'm sure Brad would hold him down if he tried cause he sounds like a super cool dude.

Saturday thru Thursday, I often VIVIDLY DREAM of getting to hold an extra point for Joesph Gannon. To be honest, I think of pulling the ole CHARLIE BROWN trick but we're usually playing in a playoff game and we need the 3 points. In my dream, Gannon kicks it over those new field goal nets at Hillcrest and it makes the net holding dude kinda mad inside i think. I usually wake up to the sounds of my wife laughing really loud. I sadly realize I'm a big, goofy, grown man, with a shaved chest, and dang black paint all over my upper torso and it aint even Friday. Anyway, thats what it's like to be a member of ADAM's ARMY, perhaps the best football fans in Tuscaloosa!"
