If you haven't gotten your flu shot yet, it's time to get one! The Alabama Department of Public Health reports widespread flu activity across the state.

The latest flu monitor from the ADPH indicates an outbreak of confirmed cases of the flu in every county, with the exception of Jefferson and Mobile counties. In order for a county to have an "outbreak" of the flu, at least six or more lab-confirmed cases per week.

Most insurance companies cover influenza vaccinations, and if you don't have time to visit your doctor's office, you can get your flu shot at most retail pharmacies.
