The 2016 College Football Playoff field is set and No. 1 Alabama will travel to Atlanta to take on No. 4 Washington in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

After playing in the second game of the playoff doubleheader in 2014 and 2015, the Crimson Tide will slot into the early game in 2016. Kickoff time for the semifinal game inside the Georgia Dome is set for 2 PM/CT and it will be televised by ESPN.

The games were moved up an hour this year to avoid a late finish on New Year's Eve. Each of Alabama's last two playoff games ended close to midnight, and ESPN suffered lower ratings last year that may have been attributed in part to the holiday.

The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl will mark three straight College Football Playoff appearances for the Crimson Tide. No other school has accomplished that feat in the short history of the new championship format. This will be the school's second trip as the 1-seed.
