There's a new #1!  No, it's not Dentist.  Software Developer has replaced Dentist as the best job in America according to U.S. News and World Report’s annual survey.

Money Magazine says software developers took the top spot on this year’s U.S. News and World Report survey of the best jobs in America. The ranking uses data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics to judge positions based on demand, work/life balance, growth potential, and more, the Chicago Tribune reported Wednesday.

Software developers, which the Bureau of Labor Statistics describes as “the creative minds behind computer programs,” pull an average salary of $108,080, according to the survey, and are in “huge” demand and that trend is expected to continue.
