I came across an article on The Huffington Post's Flipboard. The title of the piece caught my attention "The 14 Foods You've Been Storing All Wrong". I learned a little something today.
Caroline Kaufman, RDN is a writer for Huffington Post Taste. She says we throw away more than 20 pounds of food per person per month!

- Store nuts in the refrigerator.
- Keep eggs on the middle shelf. Door temp fluctuates too much.
- Whole Wheat Flour goes in the Freezer
- Potatoes should be stored in the pantry
- Tomatoes should be left out on the counter
- Red and Yellow onions go in the pantry too
- Cucumbers stay on the Counter
- Garlic bulbs should be stored on the counter or in the pantry(short term)
