West Alabama Works teamed with the Alabama Department of Labor and the Alabama Career Center System, for an event aimed to assist displaced mine and steel workers, as well as their spouses and families, in finding employment.

Join more than 30 companies at the West Alabama Job Fair at the G.G. Hardin Center in Brookwood on Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Participating companies include Bama Dining, BelFlex, BF Goodrich, Core Focus, DCH Health System, Express Employment Professionals, Mercedes-Benz, McAbee Construction, Alabama Power, PSI, Smith's Machine, Shelton State Community College, Wilson Hospitality, Automation Personnel, Cintas, Fayette Fabrication, Lyons HR, Dedicated Personnel, Coral Industries, Home Depot, Alabama Department of Health and Rehabilitation, AIDT, AT&T, E.S.D. Trucking School, DHR and many more. Participating companies plan to fill a range of open positions at the job fair.

In addition to jobs suitable for the displaced workers, the fair will also provide employment opportunities for spouses and family members of those workers.
