We’re Remembering Merle Haggard and His Music

The music world lost a legend on Wednesday when Merle Haggard passed away on his 79th birthday.

Tributes were abundant across the internet and social media. Radio stations from coast to coast played Merle's songs and told stories, some even taking calls.

On Friday, April 8th at 5 pm, we'll kick the door in on the weekend here at 95.3 The Bear but this week, we'll do thing slightly different. We're going to spend an hour paying tribute to "Hag."

Our friend Rowdy Yates will guide us through an hour of memories and music from this late member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. You'll hear hits like 'Workin' Man Blues,' 'Okie From Muskogee,' 'Mama Tried,' 'Silver Wings,' and more.
