WE Fest 2016 celebrated country music with some of the biggest acts in the genre. Additionally, 150,000 country fans attended the three-day festival, held in Detroit Lakes, Minn., from Aug. 4-6.

Tim McGraw, Eric Church and Kid Rock headlined the 2016 festival, with additional performances by Steven Tyler and the Loving Mary Band, Lee Brice, Billy Currington, Gary Allan, Joe Nichols, Montgomery Gentry, Granger Smith, LoCash, Amanda Watkins, Halfway to Hazard, William Michael Morgan and High Valley.

“We are so grateful for the continued support of our ticket buyers that, year in and year out, make WE Fest the biggest and best country music and camping festival in the world,” Dhruv Prasad, Executive Vice President, Live Events, Townsquare Media, Inc., says in a press release. “As we approach the 35th anniversary event, we are planning to deliver our best lineup ever, as well as working on continued operational improvements to the attendee experience. We can’t wait to see everyone again next August!”

On Saturday night (Aug. 6), it was revealed that Luke Bryan and Zac Brown Band will be two of next year’s headliners — WE Fest’s 35th anniversary. The 35th Annual WE Fest will be held August 3-5, 2017. More information and tickets are now available.

McGraw closed out the 2016 festival and brought his charismatic swagger to his WE Fest set on Saturday. Mixing old with new, country with rock and blues and choreographed poses with impromptu fan interaction, the headliner gave a master class on how to entertain country music’s largest outdoor audience.
