The Bristol Motor Speedway hosted its final NASCAR race of the season last week and now it's time to hastidly transform the 45-year-old short track into a football stadium for the 'Battle at Bristol.'

The speedway will host Virginia Tech and Tennessee on September 10 and construction is underway to have everything ready for an estimated 160,000 fans. The game should blow away the previous college football attendance record of 115,109 set in 2013 when Michigan and Notre Dame played.

The crew at Bristol set up cameras to capture the progress live and also released this time-lapse video showing all of the work that goes into installing a football field on top of a huge concrete surface.

The Vols and Hokies will be playing under the lights in week two and that game will be televised by ABC at 7PM.
