STARKVILLE,. Miss. -- Even though he's a freshman, it's hardly surprising.

Not long after Cyrus Jones' punt return touchdown gave Alabama a 7-0 lead Saturday against Mississippi State, wide receiver Calvin Ridley added it to it, showing off his own speed and moves in the process.

Facing a third-and-5 from on their own 40-yard line, Jake Coker found Ridley on a short pass, before he did the rest. With nowhere to go, the former five-star prospect stopped in his tracks causing Mississippi State freshman defensive back Mark McLaurin to miss, then outran several defenders for a 60-yard score.

The touchdown, which put Alabama up 14-0 with 8:36 left in the second quarter, was Ridley's fourth of his young career.

After Ridley's score, Alabama scored 17 more points, including two long touchdown runs from Derrick Henry. Alabama won 31-6.

Ridley finished the game with five catches for 76 yards to go along with his touchdown. He leads the team in receptions (57), yards (652) and receiving touchdowns (4).
