Early Heisman odds for the 2017 season are starting to circulate and one Las Vegas sportsbook included an Alabama player that will surprise you. 

Heading into next season, the offensive trio of quarterback Jalen Hurts, running back Bo Scarbrough, and wide receiver Calvin Ridley have the best odds to win college football's biggest award. However, the Westgate Superbook released their first set of Heisman odds and Crimson Tide senior Da'Shawn Hand checked in at 60-1. To get some perspective on those odds, consider that they're better than those for SEC quarterbacks Nick Fitzgerald and Jacob Eason.

It's not so surprising to see a former five-star and No. 1 national recruit end up in the Heisman conversation heading into his senior season, but who would have expected Hand to make the list. While he's been productive during his career and shown flashes of his potential when given the opportunity, but he's had to contribute as a reserve player along Alabama's deep defensive line.

But the senior's time appears to be at hand heading into the fall. ESPN wrote a great profile of the senior before spring practice started, and it's clear that some people feel he could become Alabama's next great defensive player.
