University of Alabama Hazing Trial Set

Five former members of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at University of Alabama were arrested in October on charges of hazing.

A non-jury trial is set for Wednesday in Tuscaloosa for Mark Allen Powers (20) of Athens faces one hazing charge, Colter K. Anderson (21) of Dallas, Texas, John P. Buckley (21) of Houston, Texas, Hunter Lee Wagner (20) of Huntsville and Richard E. Markwalter (20) of Huntsville.

The five are accused of forcing fraternity pledges to stand in ice water and salt. The victims were treated for burns and frostbite following the incident.
