There's a new ice cream shop coming to Tuscaloosa, with a whole new way to make our favorite summer treat.

Tuscaloosa native Michael Kernan and his business partner Nate Kasem will open Frost Bite Ice Cream on University Blvd by the end of June.  They will use super-cold liquid nitrogen to create ice cream dishes.  Everything is fresh and the dishes are made to order and created on-site.  He told the Tuscaloosa News the flash-frozen and rolled ice cream is taking off all across the country and they jumped at the opportunity to bring new ice cream to T-Town.

Frost Bite Ice Cream is located at 1914 University Blvd., Suite C., next to sushi restaurant Ajiian.  Find out more on their Facebook page.
