Our friend Angel Eaton, who was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma in October 2013, had a brief 16 month taste of what it is like to live without cancer.

We've been following Angel's story and reporting on her battle since we first met her back in August of 2014. Just little over a year ago we were happy to celebrate her body being free of cancer so it's with a heavy heart that we now report that her Ewing's sarcoma is back.

On her GoFundMe page, Angel wrote,

I'm Angel and I'm a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma in October 2013, a month before I turned 16 years old. After 14 months of chemotherapy, 6 weeks of radiation and an intense surgery that removed my tumor and three ribs, I was finally declared cancer-free.

I lived cancer-free for 15 months, but a month after I had my 15-month scans, I went to the ER for stomach problems and they found something that didn't look right. After a chest CT, PET scan and then biopsy, the doctors realized that not only was my cancer back, it came back full force. Basically, my left chest cavity and lung are full of tumors and there's a large mass buried in my diaphragm. So, it looks like I'll be starting Round 2 against this monster.

I graduate May 13 and I am supposed to start college in the fall. My mom, who is a single mom, is pregnant with my little sister and is due Aug. 5. She's still paying my hospital bills from the first round, so I know this is stressing her out even though she's trying not to show it. I know I'm going to beat this thing ... again! Please help me!

As her new tattoo says, "Refuse to Sink," and she does refuse to let this thing get the best of her.

So here we are again, standing beside this beautiful young woman and trying to do what we can for her. If you can help in any way, please visit her GoFundMe page. Please share the link with friends, share this article, share her story and her fight!

Check back here for frequent updates as we are staying in touch with Angel and her mom and are doing our best to get the latest news.
