In November of 2014, Northport resident Adam Hood released his 4th full-length record and now strikes out with a video for the lead track!

If you've never heard Adam Hood's music, chances are that you've heard Adam Hood's music. Just maybe not with him singing it. He's penned songs for Lee Ann Womack, Eli Young Band, David Nail, and Frankie Ballard among others. He also now has a gold record on his wall thanks to the song 'Front Porch Thing' that appeared on Little Big Town's Tornado record.

Through all of this, he's not let all the songwriting accolades go to his head. As long as I've known him, Adam Hood still exemplifies what is means to be called a Southern Gentleman. That fact shows through in his music as well.

His latest release is a song called 'Way Too Long' from Welcome to the Big World. A personal release that mixes a more traditional country sound with the Texas country he's best known for. With a clear and soulful voice, Hood weaves his way through a wealth of heartfelt lyrics. Whether he's making you reach for the tissue with 'He Did,' a tribute to his late father or firing up the honky-tonk with country sweetheart Sunny Sweeney on 'Countriest,' his intentions are to make you feel the music and hopefully find your own message hidden within the notes and words.
