After making landfall in Louisiana, Cindy weakened to a tropical depression today but still bringing strong winds, heavy rain and the threat of dangerous floods hammering West Alabama.

According to the Weather channel 6 inches of rain has fallen since Monday in parts of West Alabama/Tuscaloosa.  Currently 11,000 without power and 9,000 are around the Fairfield area that saw several businesses destroyed.

In its latest advisory, the National Weather Service continued to warn that the storm could cause "life-threatening flash flooding."  West Alabama remains under a Tornado Watch until 10pm Thursday night.  For more update listen to the Wild Bill Show on 95.3 The Bear!
