The Tuscaloosa Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a 66-year-old man last seen early Tuesday morning.

Lt. Teena Richardson, a spokeswoman for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said Charles Gordon Cardinal was last seen at his home around 2 a.m. Tuesday, when he told his family he'd like to go riding around.

Richardson said the family planned to take Cardinal to do so when they woke up later that morning, but discovered at 7 a.m. that Cardinal and his 1998 Toyota Tacoma were missing.

More than 24 hours later, Cardinal has still not been found.

Cardinal is described as 5 foot, 8 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds. Richardson said he suffers from severe medical issues that may impair him.

Richardson said the missing man's truck is white, has minor exterior damage and has a car tag reading 8537AK9. He is possibly in the area of the Rocky Road Hunting Club on Highway 171 in Northport, she said.

Anyone with information about Cardinal's whereabouts is asked to contact the Tuscaloosa Police Department at 205-349-2121.
