Tuscaloosa Mural Artist Painting The Town

Local Artist David Martin was featured on WVUA TV this week highlighting his murals. You've seen them around Tuscaloosa for years.

David's latest painting is on Jay's Short Stop in Alberta. David told Madison and Shepherd, He donated material and time for the mural in Alberta after a conversation with the shops owner about how he has struggled to get the community back together after the April 27th tornadoes.

David also mentioned he doesn't normally sign his murals but in the one pictured, there are a few things hidden in the mural that makes it unique to him. For one, the football players with the numbers 7 and 4 represent 1974, the year he was born. The players with the 1 and the 5 - 15 national championships!

David told WVUA, he wants the true spirit of Tuscaloosa to show through his paintings. See the news story here:
