Investigators in Tuscaloosa charged a 30-year-old Cottondale man with sodomizing two children who were both under five years old, police sources said Monday morning.

Captain Kip Hart, the assistant commander of the Tuscaloosa County Violent Crimes Unit, said sheriff's deputies were called to a home on Corley Drive in Cottondale Saturday to investigate reports of sexual abuse against a child.

Detectives there met Matthew Tyler Miller, Hart said, and eventually charged him with sexually abusing two children, both under the age of five.

Miller was ultimately charged with two counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of third-degree domestic violence harassment.

Hart said the investigation is ongoing and may lead to more charges being levied against Miller.

Miller was taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail Saturday, where  he remained Monday morning pending payment of a bond set at $241,000.
