Last week a video of one student blindsiding another student in between classes at Tuscaloosa County High School left social media users shocked and outraged.

Students who attend the school said the young man in the purple pull-over targeted a random student in order to be sent home from school. The 18-year old man was later arrested for assault.

The video shared to Facebook the same day the incident occurred included instructions for anyone who wanted a copy to message the user before he was 'forced to take it down'.

UPDATE: The Tuscaloosa County School System released the following statement:

"The Office of the Superintendent has received several inquiries regarding a specific student incident that occurred at one of our schools. Please be advised that all incidents are investigated and responded to according to the Tuscaloosa County School System Student Code of Conduct and we do not discuss student incidents publically [sic]. We appreciate your concern and support for the Tuscaloosa County School System."
