Try These Tuscaloosa Beers at America on Tap

America on Tap Beer Festival is happening Saturday in Tuscaloosa!  You should definitely make sure to try the fine brews being locally crafted.

Gone are the days of boring, they all taste the same beers. That's not to say there's anything wrong with a crisp light beer. The point being that the explosion in the popularity of craft brewing has truly revolutionized beer drinking in America. The historic Free the Hops movement in Alabama was a complete game changer for us. Among the legislation passed, ABV (alcohol by volume) limits were loosened in 2009 and in 2011 allowing breweries to sell on premises. They were significant events which helped pave the way for local breweries to be born.

Here's an interesting stat, the U.S. reached 3,000 breweries this past year, according to the Brewers Association. Naturally, that means variety. What it also means is more local and regional, small and independent breweries.

Great things are being crafted from rich and dark, to light and fruity. This America on Tap Beer Festival on Saturday gives us all the unique opportunity to sample. There will be over 100 different beers from over 50 different breweries.
