The monthly 'Tips for Tuscaloosa' songwriter's concert will be back at Billy's Sports Grill in Northport Wednesday night benefiting Arts 'n Autism.

If you’ve never stopped by before, the night will feature local and Nashville based singer/songwriters in what is known as a “round”. Singing their songs, telling stories and musically accompanying each other.

The April show could be one of the biggest we've ever been a part of. Songwriters on stage Wednesday will include Jackson Capps, a young man from Birmingham who made his Grand Ole Opry debut at the age of 12. He's also the protege of Opry member Marty Stewart.

Others on the bill include Sweet Tea Trio, Megan McMillan, Trey Lewis, Hope Cassity, JP Miller, Robert Daniels and more!

All tips this month will go to Arts 'n Autism, a unique Tuscaloosa based after-school program and summer camp for children with autism.

Also, this week for the Tips for Tuscaloosa campaign, Gigi's cupcakes will be selling a blue and white arts and autism cupcake. 100% of proceeds will go to Arts 'n Autism!

If you’re a songwriter interested in playing, there will be an open mic portion, so you’ll need to arrive by 5:30pm to sign up.

  • Show starts at 6pm at Billy's Sports Grill in downtown Northport
  • There is a suggested $20 cover at the door, but that is not required by any means
