Tonight, Billy’s Sports Grill is hosting the monthly ‘Tips for Tuscaloosa’ songwriter’s show with proceeds this time going to The Arc of Tuscaloosa.

If you’ve never stopped by before, the night will feature local and Nashville based singer/songwriters in what is known as a “round”. Singing their songs, telling stories and musically accompanying each other.

Tonight's show will feature a special performance from songwriter and Northport resident Adam Hood. Tracks from his critically acclaimed 2011 album The Shape of Things have been cut by Little Big Town, David Nail, Josh Abbott Band, and more. The legendary Willie Nelson and Leon Russell have also each picked Hood for respective national tours.

Hood's latest album Welcome to the Big World features co-writes with Grammy-nominated hit-maker Will Hoge and bluegrass phenom Charlie Worsham among others. Texas songstress Sunny Sweeney even contributes guest harmonies on the track 'Countriest.'

Other artists featured tonight will include Hope CassityVictoria Camp, Megan McMillan, John Miller, Kathryn Wyatt, Darren Camp, Mike Woodard, Robert Daniels, Trey Lewis, and Grand Ole Opry performer Jackson Capps!

If you’re a songwriter interested in playing, there will be an open mic portion, so you’ll need to arrive by 5:30pm to sign up.

There is a suggested $20 cover at the door, but that is not required by any means. Show starts at 6pm.
