Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating a three vehicle accident that happened Thursday morning less than one mile south of Tuscaloosa.
According to Senior Trooper Reginald King,

The three-vehicle crash, May 18, claimed the life of a pedestrian and injured two others. Nellie Patricia Pruett, 76, of Tuscaloosa and Dorothy Michelle Caves Bell, 49, of Emelle were both struck by a 2013 Hyundai Sonata after it was struck by a 2006 Ford Mustang driven by a 16-year-old. Pruett was pronounced dead on the scene. Bell and the 16-year-old were both transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. The preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicles driven by Pruett and Bell were involved in a crash moments before, and they were outside their vehicles when they were struck by the Mustang. The crash occurred at 7:51 a.m. on Alabama 69 near the 142 mile marker. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
