Thomas Rhett arrived to a packed house for his Today's Citi Concert Series appearance on Friday morning (June 2), but one special girl in the crowd stood out from the rest.

Rhett and his wife Lauren brought their newly-adopted daughter, Willa Gray, to New York for the show, and in addition to some camera time, she got a shoutout from Dad from the stage. Before Rhett sang his smash "Die a Happy Man," hosts Hoda Kotb and Matt Lauer pointed out Willa, "who is currently crying," Rhett joked as the camera panned to his toddler.

"It's crazy," the singer admitted when asked about the new addition to the family. "It's been me and Lauren for four years and so when you add a daughter into the mix, it makes life even crazier. But I wouldn't trade it for the world, man, she's amazing." Willa quickly warmed up to the attention, staring and pointing right at the camera while mom Lauren beamed beside her, trying to get her to wave hello to fans.

Hoda Kotb, who also has an adopted daughter, looked to Rhett for some parenting advice. He didn't have much, given that it's only been a few weeks since they brought Willa into their home from Uganda, but he did say this: "You live your life so long just caring for yourself or caring for one other person and then you bring a child into it, and it's a whole different ball game. For us, we just try to soak it in and really pay attention and watch her grow up and try to remember all the little subtleties."

The couple were able to bring the 18-month-old home in May after a long and painful adoption process. Thomas and Lauren are expecting another baby girl in August.
