Thomas Rhett got a very special surprise on the final night of his Home Team Tour on Saturday (March 25) when his openers appeared on the stage dressed as life-size carrots. During a performance of Bruno Mars' "24K Magic," Kelsea Ballerini, Ryan Hurd and Russell Dickerson took the stage in carrot costumes for an epic end of tour prank.

"The best tour prank ever, thanks to all the 24 magic carrots for rushing the stage tonight," Rhett wrote on Instagram after the show, sharing a photo of his crew in costume.

In a video clip captured by a fan, the "magic carrots" appear on stage to assist Rhett on his Mars cover. While the three openers headed to the catwalk with Rhett, the additional 21 carrots remained on stage with the band, dancing as the artists assisted on the track.

A prank that had each opener excited, Dickerson uploaded a video of he and Hurd singing Mars' song before they headed out to the stage for their prank.

Rhett's first leg of his Home Team Tour may be over, but the singer is far from slowing down. He will release a new single on Friday (March 31) called "Craving You," which features Maren Morris. It is the first single off his forthcoming third studio album.

Later this year, Rhett and his wife, Lauren, will welcome two little girls into their home — Lauren is currently pregnant with a biological child and the couple are in the process of adopting from Africa. At a recent No. 1 celebration, Rhett explained to press that he is taking out an entire set of bunks and putting in a crib.

“It’s pretty nuts,” Rhett admits. Almost as nuts as 24 dancing carrots.
