The Strangest Invitation EVER

I checked my mail yesterday and literally paused at the mailbox for a few minutes reading a post card type "invitation". I turned 40 in September and I do suppose it is time to start planning for these type things.

The post card mailer caught my attention right away. The words "YOUR INVITED!!!!" at the top and center were the words 'Cypress Inn". I was excited for a split second. Cypress Inn is an exceptional place to eat you know. But when I read a little further, the "event" I was invited to doesn't seem to be all that fun. Its a little sad, even if there is good food.

I was invited to a funeral and cremation planning event with a free meal and 5% discount off services. I did just turn 40, I may RSVP. There are only 25 seats available after all and they did use a lot of exclamation points.  Did you get one of these invites?
