‘The Nutcracker’ Ballet Returns To Tuscaloosa

A Tuscaloosa holiday tradition will continue when the Tuscaloosa Community Dancers bring 'The Nutcracker' ballet back to the Bama Theater between December 3rd-6th.

The Nutcracker is the story of  a young German girl who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince and a fierce battle against a Mouse King with seven heads.

The Tuscaloosa Community Dancers is a non-profit dance company whose mission of 'stimulating, promoting and developing interest in the art of dance' has been an ongoing one since 1971. TCD's 'The Nutcracker' has grown from a condensed version in the early 70's to the complete, full-length version since 1978. The ballet has been a holiday favorite in West Alabama since.
